1. Overview

• Construct a detailed database of Finnish Education system and Universities in Finland in Vietnamese language on our website and forum: www.vsaf.org
• Currently, we have been constructing the official website and the forum database for 6 months by our own money and we will not apply for subsidy for this project

2. Goals

• Provide accurate information and consulting service to Vietnamese students who intend to study in Finland
• Create a conference in which Vietnamese students can interact with each other
• Build up a background for further contribution and experience sharing

3. Description

The database consists of 4 main parts

• Studying in Finland: Information about Finnish
  Education, Universities of Finland, application procedure, examples of
  examination questions, etc
• Living in Finland: Information about everyday life experience. For example, transportation, banking services, housing etc
• Finland in general: Information about Finland, Finnish people and culture, learning Finnish language online, etc

1. Overview

• Place a banner of Vietnamese Students Association
  in Finland and Finnish Education on the most popular Vietnamese
  websites for student.
• The banners would be a flash that consists both VSAF ads and Finnish Education advertisements.

2. Goal

• Attract the best Vietnamese students via the best and the most popular students forums and websites.
• Focus on Information Technology and Business fields which are Finnish universities’ competitive advantages.

1. Overview

• VSAF tutors would pick up new students from Vantaa Airport.
• Tutor then take them to their new apartment in Helsinki or guide them how to get to their city.

2. Number of students

• Base on last year statistics, we estimate there would be around 70 students that need this service in Autumn 2009
• Students sometimes go as group, so there would be around 50 picking times

3. Budget

• Each student would pay for his transportation fee .
• Tutors should be students to get discount ticket that can minimize the total expense
• Each
  tutor would spend around 3.8 Euro to travel from Helsinki to Airport
  the vice versa based on current ticket price plus inflation for the
  next year (discounted already).
• Compensation for each time picking up would be 3 Euros
• Administration fee (planning and arrangement) would be 50 Euros
• Total Expense for 50 picking times would be 390 Euros

• Offer free consulting service to Vietnamese students who intend to study in Finland
• Consulting
  service includes universities application process, living in Finland
  resident permit, air ticket and many other areas.

2. Goals

• Help Vietnamese students to choose the most suitable schools for themselves
• Attract and guide talented Vietnamese students to Finland
• Build up a strong relationship with Vietnamese students in Vietnam whereas promoting Finland and Finnish Education.

3. Description

• The most important part in consulting service are about application procedure, Finnish Education and living in Finland. Consulting services are conducted mostly via our forum. Other channels include yahoo messengers, emails, direct phone calls.
• Consultants
  are from Department of Education and other Vietnamese Alumni. The
  number of students using our service are around 300 students last year.
  The services are offered everyday for the whole year.

1. Overview and goals

• Teach basic and advanced Finnish language to Vietnamese students
• Make Vietnamese students adapt to everyday conversation in Finland
• Aim to enhance employment approaching possibility in Finland, especially Finnish language required one

2. Timetable

• 2 courses per year, 1 basic course starting in autumn and 1 advanced course in spring
• Each course lasts for 12 weeks or roughly 3 months
• Two classes per week and two hours per class

3. Location

• Expected to be hold in Kaisaniemi or equivalent places
• The budget cost for location rent should be 25E/class includes all equipment rent ( e.g. board, projector etc)

4. Administration

• Recruit teacher and students.
• Other administration work
• Expense will be 200E per course

5. Teacher

• Teacher will be Finnish people – Vietnamese origin. So he or she can use both Vietnamese or English in teaching Finnish.
• Teacher compensation would be 20E per hour.
